Lighthouse of Hope
The Lighthouse of Hope is an independent non-profit neighborhood mission that focuses on the children in one of the roughest areas of Akron, most coming from underprivileged and broken homes. The Lighthouse provides nutritious meals 4-5 nights a week, along with programs that help them to focus on schoolwork and their futures. The Lighthouse also provides a drug-free, safe atmosphere where children can grow and care for each other. If you would like to get involved or make a donation, contact Gary Todd.

Akron Children's Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders offers clinical treatment, including stem cell/bone marrow transplantation, for children and teens with all types of cancer and bleeding or clotting disorders.
Colorful, kid-friendly character Band-Aids are a bright spot for children during cancer treatment. Donations can be dropped off in the collection box in the Narthex. Contact Debbie Dennewitz with any questions.
